GC “Process” produces galvanic lines for applying all types of galvanic-chemical coatings, surface preparation, various types of mechanization and automation. The galvanized mechanized and automatic production lines of SPA “Process” are equipped with autooperators of a console, portal and suspension type.

Autooperators

Depending on the customer’s wishes, automatic lines are divided into several types of implementation:

Console autooperators have a side guide, therefore, a large workshop height is not required to accommodate the ones. However, this type of autooperators cannot carry a large load.

  • suspension transfer method: the 2-axis one;
  • loadbearing capacity: from 100 to 350 kg;
  • span-rise ratio: up to 1,5 meters;
  • current lead type: track or festoon cable;
  • control method: telpher remote control, radio remote control or program control;
  • the design of metal structures and all elements: simple, chemical resistant or explosion-proof.

Portal-type auto-operators are most widespread in the industry due to the simplicity of their design, high reliability, high productivity and the highest carrying capacity, and the ease of installation and maintenance.

  • suspension transfer method: the 2-axis one
  • loadbearing capacity: from 300 to 2000 kg
  • span-rise ratio: up to 13 метров
  • current lead type: track or festoon cable
  • control method: telpher remote control, radio remote control or program control
  • the design of metal structures and all elements: simple, chemical resistant or explosion-proof.

The suspension type autooperators occupy a relatively small production area and ensure free access to baths and pipe fittings.

  • span-rise ratio: up to 3,5 meters
  • current lead type: track or festoon cable
  • control method: telpher remote control, radio remote control or program control

Bridge-type autooperators differ from the portal and suspension types in the ability to move in 3 axes.

It is no exaggeration to say that the design and reliability of lifting equipment (autooperators) play one of the key roles in mechanized and automatic lines.

We present the design features and applied solutions of the autooperators manufacture to your attention:

1. Anticorrosive protection of metal constructions of the autooperator and portable traverse is provided. The metal structures of an autooperator undergo the following stages of corrosion protection

  • Surface preparation before painting: sand blasting to roughness Sa 2 under ISO 8501-1;
  • Surface painting (airless spraying) with a protective coating (Primer) Jotamastic 90 Ral 840 HR (grey), dry film thickness 200 microns. Jotamastic 90 is a two-component, polyamine cured epoxy mastic coating that allows for varying degrees of surface preparation. It has a high solids content and high abrasion and chemical resistance.
  • Surface painting (airless spraying) with a top protective coating Hardtop AS Ral 1003 (yellow), dry film thickness 100 microns. Hardtop AS is a two-component polyurethane topcoat with excellent gloss, color fastness, abrasion resistance, resistance to solvents and chemically aggressive substances, high elasticity, and water resistance.

2. In the mechanisms for lifting the traverse and horizontal travel of the autooperator, motor reducers of the company SEW EURODRIVE (Germany), which is a world leader in the production of drive equipment, are used. SEW EURODRIVE gear motors are highly energy-efficient and have an optimum ratio of performance and compactness.

3. The travel wheels and restraint rollers manufactured by BLICKLE (Germany) are made of high-quality Blickle Extrathane polyurethane elastomer. These wheels have the following qualities:

  • High hardness;
  • Resistance to aggressive environments;
  • Low noise level;
  • High wear resistance;
  • Wide temperature range of application from -30С to +90С.

4. Autooperators use SKF bearing units (Sweden). This engineering company is the world's largest manufacturer of bearings, seals, lubrication systems and mechatronics.

5. In the mechanisms for lifting the traverse and the autooperator travel, KTR (Germany) type ROTEX jaw coupling is used for torque transfer. ROTEX® couplings possess the following properties:

  • Effectively compensate axial, radial and angular displacement of the connected shafts;
  • Distinguish themselves due to small overall dimensions, small weight;
  • Have a low flywheel effect with high torque transfer;
  • Thanks to high precision comprehensive processing, the couplings have high antifriction properties, which significantly increases the service life of the coupling.

6. A textile sling (belt) is used as a load-carrying surface, being resistant to the external chemical action of aggressive environments and has a margin of safety at break of at least 5 units, which reduces the likelihood of breakage of the sling. The use of two branches of the sling to raise the carriage virtually eliminates the load falling to the bottom of the bath.

7. The exact positioning of the traverse relative to the baths in the vertical direction is achieved by the following solutions:

  • The application of rigid guides with removable stainless steel linings;
  • The use of restraint rollers available from BLICKLE company (Germany), fixing the carriage travel in 5 axes;
  • The installation of an encoder manufactured by SIKO (Germany) - a counter for revolutions of vertical traverse travel, precisely setting the upper and lower positions of the traverse.

8. The exact positioning of the autooperator relative to the baths in the horizontal direction is achieved by the following solutions:

  • The use of restraint rollers available from BLICKLE company (Germany), covering the travel system rail on both sides;
  • The use of a laser positioning system on sensors available from SICK company (Germany) provides high positioning accuracy and reliable control over the position of the autooperator.

9. Schneider Electric frequency converters (France) are used for smooth control of the autooperator and traverse speed, which are highly efficient and reliable.

10. A track current lead of the IGUS company (Germany) is used for compact power supply of the autooperator. Plastic track-mounted current lead for reliable protection against mechanical damage is placed in a stainless steel tray.
